Dr Francisco Riba García holds a PhD in Medicine, awarded cum laude, and trained as a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through the residency programme at Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón. He now heads the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at Hospital Universitario La Moraleja and has more than 25 years of experience in facial skeletal surgery, custom facial implants and complex oral rehabilitation.

Residency at a major public teaching hospital, then certification by the European Board of Oro-Maxillo-Facial Surgery. The facial skeleton is the speciality: bone, joints and the soft tissues around them.

Most procedures are outpatient surgery, performed in our own accredited operating theatre at the Salamanca District clinic under conscious sedation given by accredited anaesthetists.

When a case needs a hospital setting, or the patient prefers one, surgery takes place at Hospital Universitario La Moraleja in Madrid, where Dr Riba is Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, or at Clínica Santa Elena.
